William F. Resh, M.D. was raised in Ashland, Kentucky.  He was salutatorian of his high school class.  He received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of California at Los Angeles.  He received his Medical Degree from St. Louis University in Missouri.  Dr. Resh completed an internship at Good Samaritan Hospital in Los Angeles before completing his dermatology residency at the University of California at San Diego.  He was a research fellow at Scripps Clinic in La Jolla during which he helped develop the topical use of clindamycin for acne.  He was a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the San Diego Dermatology Society, the California Medical Society, and the San Diego County Medical Society.  He had been in the private practice of dermatology in National City and El Cajon since 1975.  He retired in 2020.
